Qassim University applies two different ratios depending on your gender and your target major. The weighted score (30% GPA + 30% GAT + 40% SAAT) covers all female applicants across every specialisation, plus male applicants to health, engineering, architecture, computer science, science, agriculture, veterinary medicine and the Applied College. The equivalent ratio (50% GPA + 50% GAT, with no SAAT) applies only to male applicants targeting the remaining majors.

The practical consequence is striking: a male applicant to a theoretical major at Qassim does not need a SAAT score at all, while a female applicant to that same major needs it at a 40% weight. Do female applicants at Qassim need the SAAT?

When is a male applicant assessed on the equivalent ratio without the SAAT?
When applying to a major outside the list in paragraph (a): that is, outside health, engineering, architecture and planning, computer science, science, agriculture and food, veterinary medicine, and the Applied College's scientific-track majors. Those applicants are assessed on the equivalent ratio.

Is there an age limit for admission to Qassim?
The admission conditions state that applicants must not exceed 25 years of age for the colleges of Sharia, Systems, Business and Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Architecture and Planning, and the health specialities.
What recent-graduation rule applies to Qassim's human medicine programme?
The university requires that no more than one year has passed since secondary graduation or its equivalent when enrolling in the human medicine programme — considerably tighter than the limits on other programmes.
Is admission to Qassim enough to continue in competitive majors?
No. To continue in dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, applied medical sciences, engineering, computer science, and architecture and planning, the university requires a first-year GPA of at least 2 out of 5; students who fall short are transferred to another major.
